Evolution Digital teams with TiVo to offer Whole-Home DVR Solution to Independent Cable Operators

Now with Clearleap's Low-Cost Operator Branded IP VOD Solution

SCTE Cable-Tec Expo, ATLANTA, 11/15/2011 – Evolution Digital, a leading supplier of digital solutions for bandwidth reclamation and next generation advanced set-top boxes today announced that it will be demonstrating a whole home solution with the TiVo® Premiere Q and TiVo Preview, as well as the TiVo Premiere DVR with Clearleap’s Stream on Demand application, at the SCTE Cable-Tec Expo in booth #1975.

TiVo Premiere Q is a four-tuner CableCARD® gateway with a 500GB hard disk allowing up to 75 hours of recorded HD programming. It has an internal MoCA® bridge support for connecting the TiVo Premiere Q to the home network. The TiVo Preview, a single-tuner CableCARD internally supported Ethernet and MoCA and USB STB, is perfect for deployment in either non-DVR households, or in the bedroom as complement to the TiVo Premiere Q in whole home deployments. Both of these devices deliver the best user experience seamlessly combining MSO services and internet content to any room in the home or outside of the home via mobile and tablet applications and all through the award-winning TiVo user interface.

The TiVo Premiere Q and TiVo Preview offer an affordable HD Multi-Room DVR solution with no expensive head end equipment and utilize non-proprietary Flash technology enabling quick development and deployment of custom Flash applications. The TiVo Premiere line of products also offers operators the ability to share VOD revenue, as TiVo has teamed with Clearleap and Evolution Digital to create a low-cost IP on demand solution for independent cable operators.

Clearleap’s Stream On Demand solution enables operators to tap into Clearleap’s robust search, intuitive browse, and improved discovery of advanced video services through a white label application branded with operator’s own look and feel. Clearleap’s end-to-end, cloud-based platform allows operators to deliver a complete video service over existing broadband networks without dependencies on legacy video infrastructure.
