Evolution Digital to Offer EBIF User Agent and Services to Enhance the User Experience for Low-cost DTAs.

Operators will now be able to purchase Evolution DTAs with DigiForge's EBIF User Agent and a Starter Kit of EBIF Applications.

(Centennial, CO - October 18, 2010) - Evolution Digital, LLC, a leading supplier of digital solutions for bandwidth reclamation and next generation advanced set top boxes, today announced it will begin working with DigiForge, LLC, a leading provider of digital television design, development, integration, test and deployment services, to bring low-cost EBIF enabled Digital Transport Adaptors (DTAs) to cable operators in the US, Canada and Latin America.

Evolution Digital leads the development of DTAs in North America with the first DTA deployment and the first product waiver awarded from the FCC. By offering DigiForge's new EBIF User Agent for DTA devices, Evolution is ensuring every Evolution SD and HD DTA deployed has the capabilities to run the one-way EBIF applications.

"This is the next logical step in the evolutionary path of DTAs, to separate the hardware from the software in the box," said Brent Smith, President of Evolution Digital. Evolution would initially package the Evolution line of universal DTAs with DigiForge's EBIF User Agent and provide the user interface and a Starter Kit of EBIF Apps. The Starter Kit will consist of a handful of exciting "staples" like an operator branded News app, Weather app, Stock quotes app, Caller ID and Sports scores ticker app.
