MPEG 4/2 HD Digital to Analog-Digital (DTA-D) Converter with Embedded Security

Evolution's MPEG-4/2 high-definition digital to analog-digital (DTA-D) converter offers the ability to convert digital channels to analog. Evolution's DMS-1004HD-CA is designed as a cost-effective solution to help manage the costs of digital migration. Operators can install the ultra-low cost DTA-D in subscriber homes today and as subscribers update their secondary analog TV sets to small HD flat panel TVs, the DTA-D would work seem­lessly without the need for an operator re-visit.

Evolution's DMS-1004HD-CA supports both MPEG-4 and MPEG-2. This device future proofs as it does not require operators to transcode much of the programming that is now being sent by the programmers in MPEG-4. The DMS-1004HD-CA is also unique in that it down-converts HD content into SD analog (via the RF or composite A/V output). Essentially an operator would not have to simulcast programming in both HD and SD, operators can deliver only HD content on their network and Evolution's low-cost DTA-D will convert it to analog for those TV's in the house that do not support HD yet.

Evolu­tion's DTA-D is extremely compact and encompasses an IR Extender to allow the unit to be installed behind the TV Set.
