Evolution has partnered with TiVo to provide cable operators a solution
to take back subscribers from competition in their markets and to
future-proof their systems through broadband applications and content. This
new solution helps operators to retain and increase subscribers as well
as create additional sources of revenue through product lease plans and
value-added services.
Cable operators can now take advantage of the brand recognition and enormous customer satisfaction of TiVo boxes and services.
Evolution
has bundled the TiVo boxes and lifetime service subscription allowing
Cable Operators to purchase at a substantially discounted price and
retain 100% of the subscription service revenue. This fully licensed,
standalone TiVo HD DVR allows cable operators the full flexibility of
leasing to subscribers as you would your traditional DVR for monthly
revenue.
Evolution's DVB Simulcast Overlay helps operators reclaim much needed bandwidth, by providing a low cost D to A device for secondary TV sets in the home. It also ensures secure delivery of signals using integrated Conditional Access from Conax. The DVB Overlay solution meets FCC definition of "Limited Functioning Converter" to avoid integration ban and is complementary to the existing installed base of SA and Motorola Set-tops.
Our Turnkey digital solution leverages the benefits of the internationally recognized "DVB" Open standard platform, to enable US operators to choose from over 200 manufacturers of set-top boxes. All advanced HD and HD PVR models will support Cablecards. Designed to help protect the triple play customer, this simple yet revolutionary product offers a number of distinct features to improve the integrity of the drop. By combining an entire drop installation into one compact unit, the Entry series not only cuts installation time in half it drastically reduces the number of potential failure points. The Entry series incorporates a completely passive Voice Modem port for customers who offer lifeline voice service. Critical communication signals passing to and from the voice modem are never jeopardized by having to pass through active components (e.g. relays) like those found in typical bypass amplifiers. The unique circuit design maintains SCTE recommended RF performance on the INPUT and Voice Modem ports even when power is lost or there is IC failure. Engineered with additional gas tube surge protection on the INPUT port the Entry series can withstand surges that would cause standard amplifiers to fail.
